Being a Game Moderator/Master

Hello there,

Before i write out all crap and you think; THis isn;t a GM Application.
You're right! I want people to realize what it is being a GM before they even create an application.

First of all lets discus what most people think of being a GM or becoming one (for the first time.)
I've seen many people creating a Application because they want to have some fun in the server. They either want to create lots of events, or buff people.

However this is the thing; They would be creating the server so that people could only depent on the support of a GM. Players would almost ask anything of a GM, meaning there would be none to almost none Social contact between the players.

Another thing is that people become lazy frming for items on them selves and starting to win the events just to recieve their 'illigal' items.

Thats what would happen with the players and its just enough reason for them to quit!
However being a GM is not just this alone. (exaly nothing of this could be considered a GM's job)

So what would be the job of a GM.
GM stands for Game Moderator. Thus as the name implies he moderats the game and the players within. Meening if there is a conflict between players they would come to assist BOTH of the parties. They draw no conclusions in the conflicts they just suggest some solutions.
Also they take part in finding bug abusers and hackers. If it were really the case they would also try to find scammers.

Another thing is that a GM shouldn't create statments to anyone which they cannot argue.
And they really should but friendly at all times, its okay to be rough at sometimes however.

If even a small incident occur they should make a log of it and let other GM's know about it.
Other things they should log would be questions which were not answered or anything of the kind.
This is all to prevent mistakes from happening.

Since logs will be made of these incidenst or questions it is whise for a GM to be on aware of the present meaning they all have to read this logs.

Since there is less influence of GM's to players to. Players would start seeking each other out for questions and items. and thus a great server would come in existence.

this are basicly jobs that a GM has to do instead of the current jobs being done.
Ofcourse they could create an event once in a while(not everyday or 2 days.) but sure to many isn't cool everyone could get any item and quit sooner just cause they finished getting all maxed

is GM allowed to transfer an item/s to the second char?

Since a GM is choosen per account it just means an GM is only 'allowed' to move items on that account (storage.)

So a 3rd party account isn't allowed to participate in this trade.

so GM can transfer item/s to any char in one account?

in short...

GM account "Lucy" can not pass items to thier PLAYER account "Larry"

Lucy account is an set GM... they can not PVP with ANY player in this account. they cant pass items, trade or fight for others as its an "Cheated" account.

Larry Account is nothing more than a standard player account. Now a GM may own both, but can not give there player account anything.... As it still an PLAYER ACCOUNT.

I disagree! would be a usual reaction of a new GM.
After all they are a GM...
They can do anything in their power so why not distrubute the items that were * cheated *?

well hoping GMs who abuse there powers must be check and be corrected ... i agree with Vetyst + 1 to you and SirIce
 
Gm is a job and a responsibility .. not a way to abuse and definitely not to be use on cheating or getting a head to other players

i hope vetyst can be a GM, he/she has a good responsibility in game also even he/she isn't a Mod or the other staff in Extreme Rose, thanks vetyst keep up ur good work
